EPDM Stoppers

EPDM Rubber Tapered Plugs or EPDM Stoppers are ideal for plugging holes where the diameter can vary slightly. One size can sometimes fit several hole sizes meaning only one part needs to be stocked for several hole sizes. Standard material for the plugs is black EPDM but parts can be made in alternative materials like neoprene.

The maximum temperature that EPDM can withstand for short periods of time is 245˚c.  Normal operating temperatures are a minimum of -50˚c to a maximum of +175˚c. So the EPDM Rubber Tapered Plug is an excellent choice when heat resistance is required or in sub-zero conditions.

These versatile Rubber Stoppers can be used for various applications where a durable plug is required, including masking, painting, anodizing, plating, test tube bungs etc. Component Force offers a large range of sizes to fit every pipe, tube and hole.
